🟡ARC and 🟡Petbarn Foundation 🐕🐈‍⬛COMPANION ANIMAL RESCUE SUPPORT PROGRAM 📍MID NORTH COAST NSW “ These two girls came from a BYB situation in Sydney where they had 30 dogs in a small, filthy back yard. One had been used for breeding, and the other is a younger dog. They are both extremely timid and scared dogs who have needed extra time in foster care. Donna will only adopt them out to the most suitable homes. She is extremely picky so these girls are still waiting patiently for the perfect application to come through”

Pound have picked up a huge food donation for the dogs and cats in their care from 👷Melita and the team at our
🟡ARC Canberra ACT Hub

🐕🐈‍⬛Coolamon Shire Council Pound - They also work with local rehoming organisations. It was a 3 hour trip each way to the hub... we made sure the trip was worthwhile!

🦘Wildcare Queanbeyan, supporting local wildlife carers - Why give pet food to Wildlife carers? Nearly every Wildlife carer has other animals.
By us doing this, it helps offset some of their costs so they can put more into Wildlife

Footprints Community would like to express our deepest gratitude for your very generous donation to SUSO this year. SUSO supports people who are homeless across the outer suburbs of Brisbane, Caboolture, Deception Bay, Clontarf, Redcliffe, Sandgate, Zimere, Wynnum, Capalaba and Cleveland.
SUSO is a re-purposed council bus with built-in showers, washing machines and driers for laundry.
The mobile bus offers outreach support and services and also:
-offers connection services like Centrelink
-is staffed by caring people who are available for a confidential chat, support and to link people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to practical advocacy services

There is a growing need for homelessness services and SUSO is set to expand with a mini-van which will enable the program to reach more people who are currently experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness

Your generous donation makes a real difference, especially for some of our clients who may be experiencing homelessness, social and financial hardship.

From Trish:
“Tetris packed ute tray and back seat - with Hills wet and dry doggo food with the help of DHOT staff Raf, and the lovely Popcorn, an 18month old Border Collie.

The load will be shared by DHOT sites in south, north and NW Tas.”

(🐶Popcorn especially appreciated the goodies from a Hills dry food torn bag😁)

She was nearly in tears receiving dog food as she is now on a disability pension and is struggling and can barely afford food.”
👷Rebecca and the team at our 🟡ARC Mt Gambier South Australia Hub recently hosted a
🤝Community Support Night where locals were able to collect pet food donations for their dogs and cats.

From Rebecca:
“Tonight, we had a lady from a town 15km away attend our community support event
She had a car accident 2 years ago, which has left her with some physical injuries and brain damage.
Her 2 dogs died in that accident.
When she got out of the hospital, her daughter adopted a dog for her, and she since has adopted another one and she believes these dogs have helped in her recovery and given her a reason to live.
She was nearly in tears receiving dog food as shes now on a disability pension and is struggling and can barely afford food.”

From Rebecca: “Tonight, we had a lady from a town 15km away attend our community support event She had a car accident 2 years ago, which has left her with some physical injuries and brain damage. Her 2 dogs died in that accident. When she got out of the hospital, her daughter adopted a dog for her, and she since has adopted another one and she believes these dogs have helped in her recovery and given her a reason to live. ⚠️HELP FIX ANIKA’S 🐨KOALA RELEASE SITE⚠️

🆘This is a very special important small job we are working on.Anika Lehmann has been working tirelessly to protect and care for Koalas for over two decades, during which time she co-founded Moreton Bay Koala Rescue alongside her husband in 2001. Anika manages a pre-release facility that benefits not only her own rescued koalas, but also those from other groups in the region. Anika has raised more than 130 koala joeys—and rescued many more orphaned and injured joeys needing care and rehabilitation. The pre-release site is used by Anika and MBKR and many local koala rescuers.In the recent storms, the pre-release area sustained damage, making it harder to bring in animals for care. 🌱Storm-Damaged Trees: Some trees snapped at their tops, now hanging precariously.🌳Overgrown Giants: Other trees grew too tall, making it unsafe to access the joeys.🌿Untrimmed Branches: Large branches clung to other trees, posing risks.⚠️Safety Concerns: The situation became risky for the 🐨koala joeys.We are raising the funds to pay local tree specialists to fix the site. To trim overgrown trees and remove storm-damaged ones. 🟡ARC and Petbarn Foundation 🐕🤝🐈‍⬛ COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM “Hi Jo. Just to thank you so much for our recent donation - it has been so incredibly well received by our community! We made the food available yesterday and we currently have about 2 bags left which Im sure will be gone any minute. Nearly everyone I saw was so grateful for it and shared stories with me of their current circumstances and how much this is helping them out. Thank you!
