Your local ARC hub
The Sydney Hub is a vital support centre for animal rescue and community outreach across New South Wales. It helps shelters, sanctuaries, foster carers and grassroots groups with donated pet food, craft materials and medical supplies, and mobilises quickly during floods and bushfires.
Its strongest focus is on cats and native wildlife, with dogs another major companion-animal focus. The hub also supports macropods, possums, wombats, birds, bats, reptiles, rabbits, farm animals and horses.
The people connected to the hub include cat rescuers, wildlife carers, transport volunteers, sanctuary operators, outreach workers, council animal officers, veterinary nurses and logistics coordinators. Together they bring frontline animal care, supply coordination, medical support, transport and local community engagement.
Since beginning in 2019 and growing from its original Gladesville location, the Leichhardt-based Sydney Hub has become a central NSW hub, supporting around 1,400 rescuers, carers and volunteers.
