North Coast Hub is a hardworking, community-focused rescue support hub powered by dedicated volunteers and staff. It collects, sorts and distributes donated food, supplies and emergency essentials to animal rescuers, shelters and community groups, while supporting vulnerable people with pets.
The hub’s strongest focus is on companion animals, especially cats and dogs. It also extends care and resources to horses, rabbits, chickens, farm animals, bats and native wildlife, responding to both everyday rescue needs and complex multi-species situations.
The people linked to the hub bring hands-on expertise in cat and kitten rescue, kennel and cattery operations, pound care, horse welfare, farm animal support and wildlife rehabilitation. Their experience includes neonatal care, feeding and husbandry, foster care, shelter operations, rehoming coordination and emergency medical support.
During floods, bushfires and other crises, the Kempsey hub is a trusted community lifeline. Its large volunteer team keeps supplies, rescue support and emergency assistance moving along the coast.
