Your local ARC hub
The Brisbane ARC hub is a volunteer-run operation focused on recovering and redistributing food and essential animal supplies to the people and groups who need them most. It combines reducing waste with practical support for rescuers, shelters, community organisations and vulnerable pet owners.
Its strongest focus is on companion animals, especially dogs and cats. The network also supports birds, chickens, horses and farm animals, alongside kangaroos, possums, macropods, bats, koalas, wombats, reptiles and other native species.
Rescue coordinators, foster carers, wildlife rehabilitators, vet nurses, outreach workers, sanctuary operators and community pantry leaders bring practical experience in neonatal kitten care, dog rehoming, special-needs animal care, farm animal husbandry, wildlife rehabilitation and emergency response.
The Brisbane hub supports nearly 1,000 people across community groups, rescuers and wildlife carers, moving pet food, bedding, equipment and medical supplies across Queensland and sometimes into the Northern Territory.
