ARC Melbourne Narre Warren Hub is a busy, community-focused support centre for animal rescuers, shelters and carers across Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs. Passionate volunteers manage donations and distribute pet food, craft items and medical goods, including fast relief during bushfires and floods.
The hub has a strong focus on companion animals, especially cats and dogs. Birds, rabbits, chickens, ducks, horses and other farm animals also feature, alongside wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, possums, koalas, bats and other native species.
The network includes foster carers, rescue coordinators, wildlife rehabilitators, sanctuary operators, pound and council staff, outreach workers and community coordinators. Their experience spans neonatal and high-needs feline care, dogs and rehabilitation cases, food relief, transport, rehoming, medical follow-up and foster networks.
Over the past two years, the Narre Warren Hub has grown its volunteer network and its ability to sort, store and distribute donations. Support from Petbarn Foundation, Mars, WIRES and Royal Canin has helped it reach more animals and carers.
