Wildlife partnership
WIRES and ARC
help wildlife.
WIRES and ARC have worked together to get practical, on-the-ground support to wildlife carers across Australia.
During and after the bushfires, this included hay, joey formula, bird seed, macropod pellets and fresh vegetables for native animals in care. ARC’s network of volunteers and transport also helped get handmade pouches, nests, bat wraps, towels, blankets and medical supplies to wildlife carers who needed them.
Together with the Australian Men’s Shed Association, the partnership has also helped create artificial homes for possums, gliders, birds and microbats, giving wildlife safe shelter after fire.
