A regional load, shared among local carers
Allan transported cat and dog food from Brisbane to Millmerran, where Kay helped share it with Kitten Kapers, Country Cats Project and Do Duck Inn, along with local carers Sandra, Linda and Chantelle.
Petbarn Foundation and its partners provided the donations. Allan’s transport connected the supplies in Brisbane with people caring for animals further west, and the food could be shared across several groups and carers.
Food and bedding for a community connection
We have supplied Wynnum Baptist Church’s community pantry, helping a local organisation include pet needs in its support for people.
Robyn also collected pet food and bedding for someone in her community temporarily caring for her daughter’s dogs. The supplies went through a person who knew the household and could get the help to them.
Food and supplies for rescue groups
Our team supplied Wildlife Rescue QLD with pet food to help offset the costs around wildlife care, as well as medical supplies for its preparations for bird flu. Brave Companion Dog Rescue also received support through the Brisbane hub.
Helping with food and equipment gives animal-care organisations useful supplies alongside the work their own volunteers do. Our volunteers organise the goods so carers can put them to use.
Lynnda and our Brisbane team also supplied Friends of the Hound with puppy food. The rescue’s volunteers collected the donation in a ute loaded with supplies.
