Animal Rescue Cooperative supports animals in care right across Australia by getting practical supplies directly to the rescuers and sanctuaries who need them most.

Donated food, medical items and craft products are matched to real, current needs and moved through our storage hubs or transported straight to the field, so nothing sits idle or goes to waste.

We keep our wishlist (see base of this page) lean on purpose. It reflects exactly what is being used every day to feed, treat and comfort animals in care.

If you are thinking of donating, please check the wishlist below first to make sure what you have will be genuinely helpful. Simple, targeted donations make the biggest difference.

These are our most commonly needed items. It’s really simple stuff. Food, medical and craft. We keep the list lean as we know exactly what is needed and who needs it.

The ARC team work all across Australia helping animals in need. Our supply wishlist is very straight forward and is normally dropped off at one of our storage hubs or transported to where it is needed most.

Food

  • Dog and cat food, treats, litter
  • Wombaroo, Divetelac and Biolac
  • Other companion animal foods (birds, fish, rabbits etc)
  • Horse, cattle, pigs, chicken food suitable for farm sanctuaries

Medical

  • Syringes – sterile and non sterile all sizes
  • Gloves – Surgical and Garden
  • Bandages – crepe, conforming, cohesive (ie Vetwrap), compression etc. especially larger sizes for livestock and roos but all are good
  • Adhesive and non adhesive dressings
  • Alcohol /iodine wipes
  • Irrigation fluids (vials, sachets, bottles)
  • IV fluids (Hartmanns, saline, glucose etc)
  • Swabs
  • Iodine
  • Disinfectant and wound cleaning products
  • Absorbent pads any size (dry pads/bed pads/puppy pads)
  • IV giving sets and butterfly needles
  • Scissors, tweezers, clamps
  • Basic dressing kits
  • Hot and cold packs
  • Specialised dressings:
  • Tegaderm
  • Silver dressings (eg aquacell , acticoat)
  • Alginate dressings (eg seasorb)
  • Burn dressings

Not needed

  • Gowns, drapes. We have heaps of gowns and have low demand for these items
  • Random tube things (We still cant work out what some of these are, but they sure are entertaining)
