This week ARC coordinated 108 donation pickups and drop-offs from volunteers and donors around Australia.
Hubs and local pick-up points in Brisbane, Leichhardt (NSW), Adelaide, Glencoe (SA), Narre Warren (Vic), Hobart (Tasmania), Perth (WA), Sale and Kempsey packed and sent parcels, arranged courier pickups, and handed supplies to carers and community groups.
Donations included pet food (dry and wet), kitty litter, flea and worm treatments, special diets (puppy, senior, sensitive), bedding, leads and collars, bowls and enrichment items; wildlife supplies included pouches, cuddle pods, possum boxes, hand-rearing formula and craft items for nest boxes and liners.
Hubs also provided transport support, medical and first-aid supplies, and donations for outreach programs supporting pets in households and homeless shelters. This work is supported by the Petbarn Foundation.
ARC expresses gratitude to hubs, volunteers, donors and partners; recipients shared numerous thankful comments about cost savings and improved care for animals.
