This week ARC coordinated 65 donation pickups and drop-offs, all driven by volunteers and donors whose time, skills and goods provide lifelines for rescues and animals. ARC worked with the Petbarn Foundation—thank you to Petbarn for ongoing support.
Across the national network hubs and volunteers packed and sent pouches and hanging bags, rescue kits, milk replacers and teats, syringes and needles, first-aid and wound-care supplies, blankets, wet and dry food, litter, enrichment items and specialist bedding for wombats, pademelons, wallabies, possums, birds and domestic pets; larger parcels were organised for shelters and community groups. Much of this came through ARC hubs and the ARC Craft Guild teams who sew, craft and sort medical and care packs.
The effort was shared across many ARC hubs (including ARC Tasmania Hobart, ARC QLD Brisbane, ARC Leichhardt NSW, ARC SA Adelaide/Glencoe, ARC WA Perth, ARC Vic Narre Warren, Sale and Kempsey). If you can help with a donation please visit www.arc.org.au/donate. Community comments reflected gratitude and practical needs, and organisations helped included Bonorong Wildlife Rescue, Wildlife Rescue QLD, WIRES Hawkesbury, Roo Rescue WA and the Australian Red Cross (partial list).
